This is one of the most beautiful areas in the entire Serengeti Ecosystem, a hidden gem few people are aware of and visit, and it is found in a remote part of the Serengeti.

It is home to one of the most numerous lion pack of the whole Serengeti. What’s more, many cheetahs live here.

The Sametu Marsh, extending from the foot of the Kopjes, is the only water source in the area. That is why it is not unusual to catch sight of animals, herbivorous and carnivores, coming here to quench their thirst. In the case of carnivores though, it is also very common to see them stalking preys and engaging in hunts.

It is also easy to spot honey badgers, hartebeests, Grant gazelles, Thomson gazelles, warthogs and jackals.
