We are in the Kruger National Park and tonight we sleep in the Punda Maria campsite: finally we camp!

Yes, because it is almost a week that we are in South Africa but between Johannesburg, Lesedi Cultural Center, the cottage at the Mapungubwe National Park and last night at the Cultural Village of the Venda, we have not yet slept in Dr. Livingstone.

While tonight, for the first time on this trip, we finally sleep in the mega bed of our car, besides it this year we bought new mattresses and we cannot wait to try them.

We arrived at the camp around 5.00pm, after having done a whole day of safari, we check in and take a ride to the shop, we buy something useful, but also several useless things, and we like so much this kind of thing!

For example we bought the passport of the Kruger National Park, you can collect the stamps of the various camps that are located inside the Kruger and also of some gates; obviously we will not be able to collect all the stamps on this trip, so we will keep it for the next ones too, and of course it's usually an activity that children do but we do not care because it's fun for us :)

We do not have an assigned place in the campsite, so we must look for the best place to set ourselves.

The important thing is that there is the power point, not the one to make presentations but the power socket to which to attack our mega extension and power strip to which we attack the impossible; we thought we had bought an extra-long extension when we took the one of 15 meters, but here there are people who have it at least of 20 or 30 meters, in fact there are wires pulled everywhere, the South Africans are crazy.

We find a quiet place near the power point and the braai, ie the BBQ, and not far from the kitchen; it's the perfect place.

We position ourselves, open the roof and settle the car a bit, we  the bed and arrange everything for the night; we are too happy to finally sleep on Dr. Livingstone!

We relax a bit and then, while I write today's diary, Silvano is dedicated to his favorite art: the braai!

Despite being a little cold, we have dinner outside on our table; it gives us a sense of freedom to travel this way that it is difficult to describe.

After dinner we take a tour of the campsite, although it is already almost completely dark, just to take a walk; at some point with our torches we illuminate some eyes, they are four pairs, we wonder which animals are there ... the eyes are big enough, they look bigger than those of the jackals and then the gait seems that of the hyenas, is it possible that they entered the camp?

Outside the fence we saw them with the torch, but if they are in search for food they will surely make some mess as usual, better not to leave anything out tonight.

We also see a jackal trotting around the camp, as a good profiteer it does not miss the opportunity to steal something :)

We go back to our Dr. Livingstone, we enter it and lock ourselves in; we prepare the last things and then ... Good Night!
