We are in Johannesburg, South Africa, today was destined to go shopping and buy everything we need for the trip; incredibly we managed to do everything by lunch time so we decided to dedicate the remaining time of the day for a ride.

For some time we wanted to go to Rosebank actually we wanted to visit the Art & Craft Market, but since we have never come to this part of the city, it is now an opportunity to see another part of the immense Jozi.

Rosebank is a residential and commercial district of Johannesburg, located North of the center, in what is called the "Region B" of the metropolitan area of Joburg.

Here there are several medium and high-level shopping centers and it is a favorite destination for young professionals, celebrities, designers and the gay community of Joburg; here are also many restaurants, hotels and the African Craft Market.

From Stoneridge Mall we take about 30 minutes to get to Rosebank, park in the Rosebank Mall parking lot and go for a ride, it's a very nice shopping center and it looks brand new, there are some nice shops; we do not need to buy anything but it's always nice to take a look.

We go through a long commercial gallery and then go out to look for the craft market, the African Craft Market, we ask for indications to a security officer who makes us unmistakable gestures: it must be outside the big glass door and immediately left. then under something; let's go, we'll find out soon :)

The African Craft Market from the street looks like a shop that sells souvenirs and various objects, but when you go down the inside stairs a world opens up: a series of stalls, one attached to the other, all selling a myriad of objects; some are tacky and of dubious origin, we have seen Masai statues and jewels that look more Indian than African, other stalls instead have masks, wooden and metal objects, jewels, and much more, that seem more authentic.

It's since last year that I want to buy a statue of Ndebele, those dressed with their typical blankets and jewels, but they always cost a lot, but here we found a lady who has honest prices, so we do not miss the occasion, in any case the suitcases on the way back will be empty.

We also buy a lion made with wire and small corals, it's nice and for what it costs it was a shame not to take it.

We end the shopping trip and, before doing too much damage to our finances, we leave.

Not far from the African Craft Market, to the left, we see the Starbucks logo, it is the first we find here in Johannesburg; we immediately go to look for the South Africa's mug for our collection, since we are here, we drink something and then go back to get Dr. Livingstone and to our hotel.

We park, we well arrange the stuff we bought this morning in the ammoboxes, in the drawers and in the refrigerator and then we go to our room; at the end we have roamed around the entire day and we deserve a bit of relaxation!
