There it is! Finally it has arrived! How much time have we waited for this moment in the last few months!
We got Dr. Livingstone, our car, delivered directly to the hotel by Klip Kop, the company where we parked it during these months.
It's nice and clean, a rarity to see it this way, also it has just done a check-up by the mechanic and then it is in great shape ... how much we want to get on and go off to the adventure, but we have to wait a couple of more days.
But we open it immediately and begin to check the things we have to buy tomorrow when we go shopping, moreover, in the past months, we bought a series of things that we needed on the car and it's time to fix them.
One of the things we have to do is cover the floor of the truck body, now it's half of what was originally the floor of the pick-up truck, while the other half is the base of the canopy that was added to create the bush camper; the part of the pick-up is not smooth and so it's a bit inconvenient to walk on it.
We bought a very thick piece of black rubber from Leroy Merlin and also a piece of braided rubber that looks like a mat, plus we brought a few pieces of synthetic grass.
With the synthetic grass we filled the dips, then we cut the black rubber to size and laid it out and finally laid out the mat; it results in a very good job, we are really satisfied, now besides being more comfortable it is also much nicer!
We arrange another couple of things and then go back to the room to prepare for dinner, we have a desire to start the journey with our car that we would open it here in the hotel parking lot to sleep on it. :)
