Finally the day we have been waiting for months has arrived! Today we leave!

Last night we finished to pack our suitcases, those of this trip were particularly demanding because, in addition to clothing, accessories, cameras, lenses, binoculars and books, we had to buy a series of objects for our car that is waiting for us in Johannesburg: Dr. Livingstone!

We have four suitcases to send, we also have two camera backpacks and two trolleys as hand baggage, thank goodness we fly in business class with Ethiopian Airlines otherwise god knows how we would have managed.

The flight is from Malpensa tonight, so today we have all the time to finish the last things, close the last work and then leave.

We decided to go to Malpensa by car, leave it in the parking lot for a month will not be cheap, but taking the train and the taxi with all these luggage would be crazy, and then it is not that the Malpensa Express is given for free.

We were a bit anxious about the potential traffic on the Milan-Varese motorway, but Google Maps claims that nobody is there, fortunately!

We arrive at the parking lot, leave the car and get into the airport; we are far in advance, but better this way, we do not like to arrive late and have to run.

Ethiopian Airlines check-in is not open yet, it's too early, so we go to the bar and relax bit while drinking a coffee.

At 6:00pm, in perfect time, they open the check-in and so we go to the desk; there is no one in the queue for the business class passengers.

We send the suitcases, so we get rid of a weight and a bulk, until Johannesburg we will travel only with our hand baggages.

After the check-in we go immediately to do the passport control, even here there is nobody fortunately.

We cross the whole shopping area looking at the windows, we really like this part of Malpensa Airport that was recently realized, finally they made a shopping gallery at the height of Milan.

We pass the passport control and go directly to the Sala Montale, the lounge that is used by some airlines including Ethiopian Airlines.

We know it well and it is one of our favorites: spacious, bright with a view on the tracks; the catering is high quality, in short, the ideal to relax a bit before the flight.

We just have to wait, with a little effort to tell the truth, because now that we are at Malpensa, the journey is no longer a dream, but it is becoming reality, and then we cannot wait to get on board and leave for this that, we are sure, will be an unforgettable journey.
