There are two types of accommodation in the Moremi Reserve: camping or tents.

Campsites are located at the South Gate, North Gate, Third Bridge and Xakanaxa, and you can either go on a standalone or take part in an overland trip or mobile safari.

With regards to camping in the first case, it is sufficient to have made the reservation and have paid the entry fee to the reserve, go to the campsite and settle with your tent or equipped car; in the second case it is even simpler since the staff mounts igloo tents and therefore, once you arrive at the camp, nothing will have to be done unless enjoying the atmosphere.

If you decide to stay in a tent camp you can choose among some spectacular ones where you will be welcomed by a warm and joyful atmosphere, the staff is at your disposal for any need and organizes your days.

We chose to stay at the Moremi Camp, a tent camp where we had already been.

In this area, during the dry season, one wakes up around 6.00 am and at 6.30 am a fast breakfast is served and at 7.00 am you go for the safari or game drive; in the morning it is cold and the cars are open, you have to dress warmly, but on the cars the staff puts at blankets available for the guests and hot water bags.

You start out exploring and looking for animals, emotion and adrenaline are high, you never know what will be on your path and what wonderful animals you will be watching.

You go back around 11.00 am for brunch and then relax until 3.00 pm when English tea is served before the afternoon activities, you can choose between the game drive or the boat ride among the papyrus and the islets.

The evening dinner is at 7.30 pm and it is a time of sharing with other guests of the day's experiences, inevitably everyone tells about the sightings and the sensations; the evening usually ends in front of the fire with a glass of Amarula before returning to the tent for the night.

Life in the tent camp is wonderful and for us, after several days of camping has been a pleasant and relaxing parenthesis.
