We are in the region of the Venda in South Africa; this morning we woke up early, there is wet on the ground but it is not raining, it is the fog that is formed in this area with the humidity of the night; we are more than 1,000 meters above sea level, castled on the ridge of a mountain covered with a beautiful rain forest.

We have breakfast at the Fundudzi Cultural Camp and then we are ready to continue our journey; but before reaching the asphalt road we must face the descent on the dirt road, with the red earth, that becomes slippery with humidity.

We load the car, greet our South African friends and leave.

Already backtracking uphill with Dr. Livingstone, that is long and heavy, is not easy, but the best has yet to come: we engage the low-range, we put the first gear and start slowly slowly to descend.

When we get to the main dirt road, so to speak, we cannot turn right because the curve is too narrow, so we have to go backwards to the elbow bend, where we can turn around after a couple of maneuvers; from here on the dirt road it is normal administration even if it continues to be slippery.

Our Dr. Livingstone manages to really go anywhere!

We arrive at Thohoyandou and from here we take the road towards Punda Maria, we will enter the Kruger National Park from this gate located in the Northern part of the Kruger; we have to travel about 80 km of road, not much.

The road is straight and crosses the land of the Venda, this part of South Africa is very beautiful and unexpected and, above all, it seems very much "Africa", unlike most of the country.

At 10.00am we arrive at the entrance to the Kruger National Park, what a thrill! Finally, after so many years, we're back!

Overall we will spend 12 days here and we will travel its tracks from North to South; we want to visit it as much as possible, hoping to make beautiful sightings!
