After months of planning the itineraries and destinations, having dreamt of the wonderful places, after studying travel guides, forums and blogs, we are finally ready to go!
Our suitcases are ready, this time we carry more than usually because in addition to clothing, shoes, cameras, binoculars and books to identify animals and plants, we also have a series of items we will use on our off-road and also, why not, some unavailable foods in Africa such as Parmigiano Reggiano and Aperol to make us a Spritz cocktail at sunset; luckily we are flying in business class and our car has a large trunk!
Arriving in Malpensa we immediately go to the check-in, so we get rid of our luggage, then we go immediately to the check point and head to the Montale lounge, that has a panoramic view of the track; we relax a bit and have lunch.
Finally we have the feeling that our journey is beginning, after many months of planning.
Our Qatar Air flight will take us to Doha where, after a few hours spent at the airport we will head to Johannesburg.
