The Shona are a population of Bantu origin, they are famous for their ability in the art of sculpture and music.
 
The villages are inhabited by several families, linked by kinship bonds, belonging to the same clan; the village leader is the one who commands inside the village.

The Shona are mainly farmers, although in recent times livestock has played an important role as an indicator of wealth and status symbol.
 
The population has numerous religious beliefs and practices various ceremonies, that are celebrated at different times of the year, while totems represent the fulcrum of their ancestral origins.
