Once the Lemek-Koiyaki Conservancy had an upper extension, but part of it has been joined to the Mara North Conservancy and now the Lemek covers an area of 77 sq km.

These lands were once owned by individual Masai families, later they became property of the Koyaiki Ranch and the Lemek Ranch; these two ranches have played a key role in the conservation of animals and nature.

Inside there are only two mid-level accommodations with revenues financing the conservation and local communities, in particular schools and medical handbooks have been set up, roads have been improved and clean water made available.

This is a small reserve that is home to few travelers, so it is never crowded, the views are wonderful and sightings of animals are satisfactory.

There are many species of carnivores and herbivorous, as well as birds; the landscapes are also fascinating; here, in addition to the classic game drive, you can do night game drives, walking and off the track safaris.
