This morning, as always lately, we wake up early; we are at the Kruger National Park in South Africa, at the Letaba Rest Camp, we have breakfast while the sun is rising.

Soon after we take our Dr. Livingstone, our car, and we leave; we are among the first to leave the camp gate.

We take the H 1-5, a section of the main road that runs through the entire Kruger National Park from South to North; in this area there is still part of the mopane forest, but today we move further South, and probably leave behind the mopane and the warm autumn colors of its leaves.

We are in South Africa, at the Kruger National Park, in the Mopani Rest Camp; this morning when we woke up, and we left our cottage, we saw all the trash cans turned upside down, yesterday evening when we went to sleep we heard some noises, we also went out to see but we did not spot anything; they told us that in the night some honey badgers roamed around the camp, surely it was their fault, what a pity not to have seen them last night because it is not so easy to spot them on safari, they are elusive and especially nocturnal.

After an entire day of safari in the Kruger National Park, in South Africa, we arrived at the Mopani Rest Camp around 4.30pm.

First we check in and take the keys of the cottage; today we do not sleep in the camping because when we booked there was no more room.

Before going to our house, however, we go to where the restaurant and shop are located, here there is also a panoramic terrace overlooking the lake; finally, after so much roaming around today, we see a beautiful pool of water :)

We are at the Kruger National Park in South Africa and we are covering it all, from North to South; this morning we woke up very early, it's still dark outside but we get up and get ready, have breakfast on our terrace and then load the car and leave.

We leave from the Shigwenzi Rest Camp gate and head towards the S50 that runs along the dry river, there are only a few pools of water where the animals gather; as we cross the road, beyond the river, the sun is rising: how wonderful!

We are in the Kruger National Park and tonight we sleep in the Punda Maria campsite: finally we camp!

Yes, because it is almost a week that we are in South Africa but between Johannesburg, Lesedi Cultural Center, the cottage at the Mapungubwe National Park and last night at the Cultural Village of the Venda, we have not yet slept in Dr. Livingstone.

While tonight, for the first time on this trip, we finally sleep in the mega bed of our car, besides it this year we bought new mattresses and we cannot wait to try them.

We are in the region of the Venda in South Africa; this morning we woke up early, there is wet on the ground but it is not raining, it is the fog that is formed in this area with the humidity of the night; we are more than 1,000 meters above sea level, castled on the ridge of a mountain covered with a beautiful rain forest.

We have breakfast at the Fundudzi Cultural Camp and then we are ready to continue our journey; but before reaching the asphalt road we must face the descent on the dirt road, with the red earth, that becomes slippery with humidity.

We are in South Africa, in the Limpopo Province, in particular in the region inhabited by the Venda, also known as Vendaland.

We have booked for this night in a Cultural Village run by the local community, we want to discover something more about this population who is not well known and who, thanks to the fact that they were one of the last to be subjugated by whites, they succeeded to preserve their cultural identity.

We are at the Mapungubwe National Park in South Africa, but today we leave this beautiful park to continue our journey; we have breakfast in our little house, we load Dr. Livingstone, our car, and we leave.

We leave the Leokwe Camp and head towards the gate, along the way we admire once again the wonderful baobabs and the beautiful rock formations, that, in the morning light, seem even redder.

Even if we are going out we look around, the animals are unpredictable and they could be anywhere.
