After an entire day of safari in the Kruger National Park, in South Africa, we arrived at the Mopani Rest Camp around 4.30pm.

First we check in and take the keys of the cottage; today we do not sleep in the camping because when we booked there was no more room.

Before going to our house, however, we go to where the restaurant and shop are located, here there is also a panoramic terrace overlooking the lake; finally, after so much roaming around today, we see a beautiful pool of water :)

We are in South Africa, at the Kruger National Park, in the Mopani Rest Camp; this morning when we woke up, and we left our cottage, we saw all the trash cans turned upside down, yesterday evening when we went to sleep we heard some noises, we also went out to see but we did not spot anything; they told us that in the night some honey badgers roamed around the camp, surely it was their fault, what a pity not to have seen them last night because it is not so easy to spot them on safari, they are elusive and especially nocturnal.

This morning, as always lately, we wake up early; we are at the Kruger National Park in South Africa, at the Letaba Rest Camp, we have breakfast while the sun is rising.

Soon after we take our Dr. Livingstone, our car, and we leave; we are among the first to leave the camp gate.

We take the H 1-5, a section of the main road that runs through the entire Kruger National Park from South to North; in this area there is still part of the mopane forest, but today we move further South, and probably leave behind the mopane and the warm autumn colors of its leaves.

This morning we woke up that it was still dark, we are at the Kruger National Park in South Africa and we are here to do 12 days of safari in the nature that we love so much.

We want to leave before dawn to have as much time as possible on safari, also in the early morning the animals are more active because it is cooler; when we were in the North of the Kruger National Park it was not a big problem but, as we descend, it is hotter and hotter and, in the central hours of the day, the animals tend to hide in the shade.

We are at the Kruger National Park in South Africa, we are crossing the park from North to South in 12 days and tonight we are at the Tamboti Tented Camp; we are in the central West part of the park, near the Orpen Rest Camp, where there is the reception, as well for the Tamboti, and the shop with souvenirs and groceries.

The Tamboti Tented Camp is just a few kilometers from the Orpen Rest Camp and after checking in we head straight to our tent.

This morning we wake up early, we are at the Tamboti Tented Camp, in the Kruger National Park in South Africa; our tent overlooks the river, dry during this period, and we have a beautiful wooden terrace where we have breakfast.

While the sky is colored with the warm tones of the rising sun, we finish our breakfast and, as we ask ourselves what the safari today holds for us, we prepare to leave.

We leave the keys of the tent in a special hole and we go.

Today we are at the Kruger National Park in South Africa and, during the sighting of a pride of lions, we witnessed an inconceivable incident: a man got out of the car!

We did not want to believe our eyes, but how did it come to his mind to get out of the car with the lions 15 meters away?

The lions were frightened and, fortunately, they went away, but what if they decided to attack him? They would probably have been so fast that he would not even notice it.

Even this morning the alarm rings before dawn, at 5.10am; for nothing else in the world I would get up so early, but to go on safari this and more!

We have breakfast, we get ready, close the car and leave the Satara Rest Camp; we are in South Africa, in the Kruger National Park.

We go immediately to the S 100 that is one of the two roads where we saw the lions yesterday.

We drive it all but no trace of the lions, they probably moved, maybe they are those we heard roaring tonight, if so then they are closer to the camp and no longer in this area.

This morning we left the Satara Rest Camp, we are in the Kruger National Park in South Africa; first, today we went on a safari around the camp, in particular to go and see our lions for the last time.

The flock that is near the S 100 we did not find it immediately, but at some point they returned to their pool and we saw and photographed them for the last time; while at the pool of the lions on the S 41 we found a unique scene: hyenas and vultures competing for the remains of the giraffe captured just days ago by the lions, a macabre and fascinating moment at the same time.

This morning we woke up at the Skukuza Rest Camp, in the Kruger National Park in South Africa; we have breakfast while the sun starts to rise and then we leave.

We will also sleep here in Skukuza the coming night, so we can leave some things at the camp, such as the table, the chairs and the ammo boxes; in this way we can travel lighter and we are even quicker to get ready.
