Bienvenue en Cote d’Ivoire!

This morning we left before dawn from Milan, with zero degrees, and finally we landed at 6.20pm local time, 7.20pm Italian time, at Abidjan, in the Ivory Coast, with 32 degrees and a crazy humidity rate .

Well, definitely the thermal shock is felt, but, despite the humidity, it is a pleasant sensation; fortunately, tomorrow we move to the North, moving away from the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, and leave the damp behind us, but not the high temperatures, though the climate will be much drier.

At the airport, first of all, we are going to collect the visa, we have already done it and paid online, they just have to print it, verify our identity and put it on the passport; fortunately there are few people because speed is not really their strength, but this, if you often visit Africa, you know and it's part of the game.

Immediately after we pass the passport control and we enter the country, then we go to collect our suitcases, that are already there waiting for us, and we go to the exit.

When we are about to leave an airport official checks that we have only taken our suitcases, he checks that the luggage tags correspond to the coupons they gave us at check-in; in Europe I have never seen this kind of control, but in Africa and in Asia it happened to us several times.

We meet our guide who is waiting for us, he will be with us for the duration of the trip and will accompany us to know the country, its traditions, the population and the various tribes, the culture and more.

The hotel is about half an hour from the airport, we get into the car and we arrive in a short time; we check in and go to the room to leave our suitcases.

It's time for dinner then we go down to the restaurant, eat something quick and then go to the room to relax a bit', tomorrow we leave for our tour in the Ivory Coast.
