At 5:00pm we get ready and go out in the parking lot of the Hilltop Camp in Hluhluwe, safari cars are already there ready to leave; we choose the one to go up, we take position and we settle with all our equipment.

When the other participants also get on we can leave, the sun has already descended towards the horizon and sets shortly thereafter.

We take a ride along the dirt roads of the Hluhluwe area but we do not see much; as a first sight we find many buffaloes that, probably during the day are at the river, while in the evening move to the prairie.

We continue our safari but soon it gets dark, we see a herd of elephants with puppies and also some lonely elephants, but it's too dark to be able to take quality photographs, so we just observe them; we also see the inevitable zebras and as well some gray or common duikers.

The landscape, as long as there was light, we liked it a lot, but then it became dark, while we saw a few animals, we honestly were a bit disappointed by this safari; but it is also true that an unlucky safari can happen every now and then.

We go back to the Hilltop Camp and go to dinner, we'll warm up a bit after getting cold air on the open safari car.

After dinner we stay for a while at the bar and chat a bit with a guy from the staff, it is too crazy and makes us laugh a lot; we talk about football, here everyone follows the Premier League, but also South Africa and more.

After about an hour we decide to take our car and return to our cottage, tomorrow morning we have to get up early because we have the dawn safari, hoping to see something more than tonight.

Good night!
