It is not the first time we come to Swaziland, but in the past it has always been little more than a hit and run, but this time we decided to dedicate a little more time to this little kingdom wedged between South Africaand Mozambique.

We arrived this morning directly from the Kruger National Parkin South Africa and went straight to the Mantenga Cultural Village, wthathich is located not far from Mbabane, the capital.

We visited this cultural center to find out more about the traditions and culture of the Swazi, the main population of Swaziland, or Eswatini, the new name of the kingdom recently decided by the king.

This visit was very interesting!

Soon after we went to the shopping center of Ezulwini, that is located just behind the US Embassy, a huge building in marble that jars a little in this context.

We have to do the shopping for tonight and also for the next few days and, since we are here, we decide to have lunch; there are several restaurants and takeaways, we are spoiled for choice.

Tonight we do not sleep in the camping but in a chalet, that is about 3 km far from here; as soon as we finish the shopping and our lunch we go right there, we want to relax a bit.

The road is unpaved and a bit wrinkled but our Dr. Livingstone has no major problems to follow it; we enter through a gate and find ourselves in a small paradise: a green lawn surrounded by trees, among which are wooden chalets.

We descend along the road that runs along the lawn, following the signs for the reception, and we find ourselves near the horse stables and the owners' house, whose kitchen also serves as a reception.

We are greeted by their 4 dogs, one at a time, they come to be pampered, one in particular was particularly affectionate and filled us with hair, but it was too good and sweet not to cuddle.

There is also a colorful parrot, they tell us that he knows how to speak very well but, it seems, it is shy because it does not speak if there are strangers; in theory there are also three cats but we do not see them, they will surely be around who knows where.

We go to our chalet overlooking the large lawn we saw when entering; the exterior of our little house is all in wood and inside has exposed beams, it is very large: there are two bedrooms, a large bathroom, a living room that, if necessary, becomes another bedroom and a kitchen equipped with everything.

We seat on the terrace and relax, we organize the next days of travel, we chat, I write and we do not do anything else; it really took this half day of relaxation to rest for a while.
