This morning we woke up sad because today we go back home, but we are happy because we have had a wonderful journey in our beloved Tanzania.

We close our suitcases and after breakfast we check out from our tented camp; Sir Stanley Speke is already there at the reception waiting to take us to the airport, we load the suitcases and go.

We are in Mto Wa Mbu, from here, with the new speed limits, it takes about 2 hours to get to Arusha and from there it takes another hour, if there is no traffic, to arrive at the Kilimanjaro International Airport .

We cross Mto Wa Mbu, in the street there are many people; women are sitting at the roadside to sell their goods, especially bananas, mangoes, tomatoes, potatoes and more, while the men run on motorbikes, work in the laboratories, in the workshops, load the goods on the cars to bring them no one knows where .

There are several bikes that have a reckless driving, there are motorbikes, Piaggio Ape converted into tuk tuk, dala dala that, in addition to people, carry everything and, of course, safari cars like ours.

When we leave Mto Wa Mbu behind the landscape becomes wavy and at the side of the road, for a few kilometers, there are only Masai with their livestock.

In less than 2 hours we are in Arusha where there is a bit of traffic but Safe does a secondary road and avoids the traffic jam; from here in about 40 minutes we arrive at the airport.

We miss just over an hour to our flight and unfortunately we have little time for the greetings, we unload the suitcases from the car, we salute Safe and Fredrick saying them: "Kwaheri rafiki! Asante sana! ", that means "Goodbye friends! Thanks for everything", and they answer back with "Bella lì", some Italian slang we taught them, while they taught us a bit of Swahili :-)

We take a lot of time to check in because they cannot print the luggage tags; when they do it we run to make the exit from the country and the controls, thank goodness that there is none, because they are already embarking on our flight.

We leave from gate 5 and, of course, we walk up to the plane of the Precision Air; we are heading to Nairobi, the flight is about 40 minutes, what a pity that there are some clouds otherwise we could see the Kilimanjaro.

In Nairobi we have a few hours on transit so we go to Paul Cafe, a place outside the airport where we have lunch and where, thanks to their wi-fi, we can connect to the internet.

The climate of Nairobi is spectacular, it is an eternal spring; at the thought that we are returning to the cold of the Milan winter we feel a bit of envy :-)

We are here for a few hours to wait for the embarking of our Lufthansa flight that will bring us back home, after making a stopover in Frankfurt.
