Oh Yes! After buying a car in South Africa, our Dr. Livingstone, that is waiting for us in Johannesburg for new adventures, we bought a car here in Tanzania.

But this is a different car from Dr. Livingstone, as it is a safari car that can carry up to 6 guests.

We decided to call it Sir Stanley Speke!

Stanley as Henry Morton Stanley, a British journalist and explorer who left in search of David Livingstone and who pronounced the famous phrase "Doctor Livingstone, I assume" when he found him near Lake Tanganika in Tanzania, sooner or later we will make our Dr Livingstone and Sir Stanley Speke meet and we will recreate the moment!

Speke as John Henning Speke, a British explorer who made three trips to East Africa, particularly in Tanzania, where he discovered Lake Tanganika and Lake Victoria and where he ventured in search of the source of the Nile River.

When we bought it, it was not a safari car, in fact we bought a white pick-up truck that had traveled about 80,000 km, for Africa it was a brand new car; we took it to our workshop and there it happened the transformation from caterpillar to butterfly.

For some months it has started to be used in some safaris and now it's up to us to use it; obviously we cannot drive it, because we do not have an adequate driving license, Safe, our guide, will drive it for us.

It has excited us to finally see it in real, it's truly beautiful!

The seats are comfortable armchairs and the windows are very large, larger than most of the safari cars, it also has the roof that opens obviously; it has a large refrigerator to keep water and drinks cool and a bag with everything you need to make coffee or tea while traveling.

We are really happy with this purchase and we cannot wait to leave on this trip with Sir Stanley Speke.
