We are at Kasane in Botswana, our friends have just left to go home while we will continue our journey from here and in the coming days we will go to the Central Kalahari and then return to South Africa.

Since it is time for lunch we go back to the Hunter's Pub, where we had lunch yesterday, we get a table on the outdoor terrace, we sit and enjoy the view of the Chobe River.

We have lunch with our guide and we chat a little.

After lunch we go to our Dr Livingstone, our car, that we left here at Kasane yesterday, it was useless to take it to tonight camp and then come back here, in any case we wouldn't need it, furthermore, since it needs maintenance, it was better not to drive around too much.

One of the brakes no longer works and one of the staff boys uses the jacklift to lift Dr. Livingstone and then remove the wheel; it seems that the problem is the broken brake hose, so we have to go and buy it again, we also have to buy brake oil, and for all this we spend the equivalent of 4 €! :)

It takes a while for our new friend to fix the brake and then put the tire back in place; well Dr. Livingstone now seems to have been fixed, maybe not perfectly but at least to be able to finish our tour and get to Johannesburg safely.

In the end the afternoon flew by, when we finished with Dr. Livingstone we realized that it is already past 5:00pm.

We thank our new friend who arranged the car for us and we go to look for the Nxabii Cottage that is located at Kasungula, 3 km from Kasane; our guide lives here, so we give him a ride and he shows us where our lodge is.

Well yes, after days and days of camping, today we sleep at a lodge, we are happy not so much for the bed, because even the beds of the tents, as well as the bed of our car, are very comfortable, but for the comfortable shower!

We really want to take a nice shower, wash our hair and get rid of the sand that is now everywhere, no matter if it just needs to get out of the room to cover up again, we really needed it.

We also relax a little after arranging our Dr. Livingstone, that, with the sand, the holes and the flickering of these last days, is a bit all upside down; so tomorrow we are ready to leave for the last part of our journey.

For dinner we decide to go back to Kasane, we didn't have time to do the shopping for cooking and, honestly, we wouldn't even want to, we prefer to go to the Chobe Safari Lodge.

Along the road connecting Kasungula and Kasane we proceed slowlyas there is no street lighting and, although we are outside the park boundaries, there may be wild animals as the Chobe National Park is not fenced.

In fact, at some point, we see some elephants at the road side that decide to cross just as we arrive; we stop and wait for everyone to pass and then continue.

We go directly to the Chobe Safari Lodge and park, we enter and say at the reception that we came only for dinner; this lodge is very beautiful and it directly overlooks the Chobe river, once for our trip to Botswana, we probably would have chosen a structure like this, but now we prefer camping.

The restaurant has a buffet, so we can choose what we want; we choose a somewhat secluded table, we are no longer used to seeing too many people and it bothers us a bit, this is one of the consequences of having such an experience in contact with nature like mobile safaris.

We spend a pleasant evening even if the fact that here there is the wi-fi brought us back to the digital reality to which we were no longer used and a little it irritates us; but it is not a problem, we will leave tomorrow and the connection will leave us again, the problem will arise again when we arrive at Johannesburg.

After dinner we return to our lodge paying attention to wild animals that could be on the road; we arrive at the Nxabii Cottage, we park and go to sleep, we have to rest tomorrow we leave again.
